Smoothies are a great way to support our bodies in digesting vitamins and minerals, as well as working as healthy, quick meal replacements, detoxes, energy boosters, and protein enhancers.  Smoothies are very versatile so we can make nearly any smoothie healthy and tailored to our needs - from adding nuts and specific fruit to add 'good' fats (monounsaturated fatty acids) that support our brain functioning and energy levels, to adding spirulina, hemp, or protein powders, to produce the protein needed to support the development of muscle, skin, nails, and cells.

 

To help you get started (or to add to your already established routine) below is a list of some smoothies, by category, that I enjoy.  You can visit one category at a time, or just see the whole list of smoothies to pick and enjoy as you go.  Either way, enjoy experimenting, adding your own vegetables, seeds, fruits and juices, and have fun in knowing that you are investing in your health.  

 

Please remember that although eating well is essential, it is not enough - we also need to live a life that supports our wellbeing, by eating healthy balanced meals, getting plenty of rest, avoiding unnecessary stress, keeping our thinking healthy and productive, and maintaining good self-care and balance (equilibrium).  As I am sure you have now read and heard me say a thousand times - it always, always, starts with self, be kind to yourself. xx
